City of Corning
Corning Parks Visioning
The Corning Parks Visioning initiative establishes a coordinated framework for the revitalization of Hillvue, William Street, and McKinney Parks.
In response to system-wide goals identified in the Corning Parks Strategy (2020) and upcoming NYSDEC soil remediation, the City engaged CTLA to lead visioning and design efforts that align park upgrades with long-term community priorities.
Through public engagement, site analysis, and close coordination with NYSDEC, CTLA developed schematic-level designs that enhance recreation, improve pedestrian and bicycle connectivity, including integration of the Chemung River Greenway, and advance ecological restoration in each park. The resulting framework guides phased improvements, emphasizing accessibility, durability, and resilient landscape strategies across three of Corning’s neighborhood parks.
