Reinstein Woods Nature Preserve Visitor Center

Reinstein Woods Nature Preserve is a 292-acre ecological sanctuary and environmental education hub in suburban Depew, New York. To support growing visitation and expanded programming, the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation is undertaking a large-scale project to renovate and expand the existing education center.

Supporting a consultant team led by GWWO Architects, CTLA is leading site planning and landscape design from concept through construction administration. The site design is anticipated to strengthen arrival, circulation, and accessibility while integrating outdoor classrooms, gathering spaces, and green infrastructure. Improvements to pedestrian pathways, wayfinding, and site amenities will create a clearer and more welcoming arrival experience. Emphasis on native plant communities, biodiversity, and stormwater strategies will reinforce the center’s mission as both a gateway to nature and a living teaching tool.
